Term Classes - Kids and Teens

 

Our Kids and Teenagers programme offers a varied range of classes with different tutors and mediums for ages 6-18 years. All materials are provided.

To book and pay on line, please ensure that you have registered your details. Enrolments must be completed on line. If you do not wish to pay online, you can pay in person or over the phone. Enrolment alone does not guarantee a space in the class unless payment has been made.

 Please note that a $10 administration fee will be charged if you would like a staff member to do the enrolment for you.

The online classes advertised for Term 2 ( 20 April - 19 June) will be using Zoom as the online platform. Please ensure that you have a zoom account using the same email address when registering. The tutor will be emailing you,10-15 minutes prior to the class starting, with the link to join the class each week. Online classes are a new learning platform and there may be some technical issues experienced. Please be patient and understanding if you are new to this software or if the class doesn't start or finish on time.

STEaM Online with Chloe Lam (9 weeks) 8+ yrs

Chloe is a fully qualified secondary art teacher and has a great deal of experience teaching art to children. STEaM is fun and collaborative focusing on creative processes to achieve outcomes. This is an exciting art class that looks at core subjects to stimulate art outcomes. Paper, drawing materials, glue and scissors are basic requirements with additional materials requested in advance of each session.

Art Club Online with Marion Breinhorst (9 weeks) 7+ yrs

In Art Club we have fun with a wide range of materials and are allowed to be as creative as possible - especially with our weekly dress-up themes! We invent and design new objects, play with recycled and unconventional materials, and have fun with paint and pencils. Art Club supports a range of artistic skill-levels and interests, and is a friendly class where students can encourage each other. Each activity aims to have multiple methods of completion, so that regardless of materials, each student can get the most out of the activity! Paper, drawing materials, glue and scissors are basic requirements with additional materials requested in advance of each session.

Advanced Illustration Techniques for Teens Online with Dean Trembath (9 weeks) 12-18 yrs

Learn to breathe the illusion of life into your favourite cartoon creations. Give them the gestures and expressions that give them personality. Classes will take you through the step by step process of character design and focus on the drawing fundamentals of shape, construction and silhouette. Paper, pencils and colour pencils are the basic materials required.

Learn new painting and drawing skills whilst exploring the theme of Myths; Taniwhas, Goblins and Sea Goddesses are amongst the creative outcomes awaiting you as you travel the globe! 

Pencil, colour pencils, watercolour pencils (if you have them), pastel/crayons  and whatever paints are handy,  A4/A3 paper or visual diary, glue and cellotape are required.

Paper Mache Modelling Online with Susan Browne (9 weeks) 7+ yrs

Learn how to use paper mache to model objects, creatures and characters. Balloons, toilet roll tubes, household newspaper, papers, tissues and pva glue/flour ar required to create your modelling material.
