This course will guide you through the process of Islamic Art patterns. Students will create four geometric patterns, step by step using traditional methods via a compass and straight edge. Explore a cultural art form using different mediums and come away with four different creations and skills to be able to transfer a pattern to a surface of your choice.
MATERIALS REQUIRED: Compass, ruler, eraser, masking tape, A3 cartridge paper and tracing paper, A3 watercolour paper (any brand), watercolour pencils or acrylic paint set of 12 colours (any brand), watercolour or acrylic brushes sizes 1,4,8,12, black fine liner pen, 2H and 2B pencils.
