Te Ao Mātauranga Māori with Natanahira Pona

Each class introduces tauira (students) to the Mātauranga (Science of) aspects of Te Ao Māori (The Māori World).  You will get to create your own artistic personalised Diary with English and Te Reo phrases and Toi (art) you can create in class and at home.  This will become a personalised Taonga (Treasure) that you bring your own culture and level of artistic expression to. Each Term will introduce new insights and aspects so your pukapuka can grow throughout the year.   

Students will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of each Term. 

$250/$225 (LH Member)

$800 for the year; 2 May – 27 June; 18 July – 19 Sept; 10 Oct – 12 Dec (please email education@lakehousearts.org.nz if you wish to pay for the whole year)

MATERIALS REQUIRED: Materials Notebook (personal choice – this will become your Matauranga Pukapuka – Science Diary), pen, pencil, coloured pencils, ruler.
