Exploring a range of processes, techniques and materials, this course provides students with the opportunity to create both considered observational drawings and expressive pieces. Learn about composition, tonal value, perspective, proportion and mark-making techniques. Experiment with a range of materials, including pencil, charcoal and ink, along with traditional and unexpected tools to create artworks. Explore a range of subjects, including the natural world, portraits, still life and architecture. Join our fun, focussed and supportive class to extend your skills and explore ways of making. We welcome teens of all skill levels with a passion for drawing. Students will need to purchase the following materials and bring them to each session and replenish when necessary:
MATERIALS REQUIRED: Various grade pencils, putty eraser, eraser, sharpener, ruler, charcoal (willow and compressed), white conte pencil, white chalk pastel, coloured pencils, indian ink, glue stick, scissors, tracing paper.
