ART TOY celebrates the vibrant world of designer art toys through the lens of pop culture. Inspired by cult
films, video games, cartoons and comic books, the exhibition reimagines beloved characters with a
mischievous twist.

Dark, witty and unapologetically nerdy, the collection is a visual celebration of nostalgia. It’s Saturday
morning cartoons, ’90s movie nights and comic book culture—reimagined as handcrafted sculptures you
can hold in the palm of your hand.

Ever wondered how designer art toys are made?

What exactly are art toys? Have you heard of scratch building or kitbashing, and want to learn how it’s done?

Join artist Gene Harris for a fun, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to design and build your very own art toy from scratch. Discover creative design processes, sculpting techniques, and both classic and modern toy-making methods.

By the end of the day, you’ll head home with your own art toy prototype, concept sketches, new skills, and a smile.
