Becroft Gallery
Dreams brings together a vibrant collection of artworks created by students aged 4 to 15 from Artopia. Through painting and mixed media, these young artists explore the many forms that dreams can take — from sleeping dreams and imagined worlds, to personal hopes, future aspirations, magical landscapes, and fantastical scenes shaped by pure imagination. Each artwork offers a window into the inner world of its maker, revealing moments of curiosity, emotion, playfulness, confidence, and wonder. Together, the exhibition celebrates the freedom of children’s creativity and the remarkable ability of young artists to express complex ideas through colour, form, texture, and storytelling.

This exhibition is also a celebration of Artopia, a North Shore-based art education provider supporting children and young people to grow their creative skills and confidence. Through its classes, Artopia provides a nurturing environment where students can experiment with materials, develop visual language, and discover their own artistic voice. Dreams reflects the value of that creative learning journey — not only in the finished artworks, but in the confidence, imagination, and individuality that each student brings to the gallery walls.
Dreams will then be open every day from Saturday June 13 – Thursday June 25 in the Becroft Gallery, from 9am-4pm.
Opening Celebration: Sunday 14 June 4 – 6pm
