Dawn Blessing, Hīkoi Kōrero + Summer Vibes (Free Whānau Day)

Lake House Arts is proud to support Awataha Marae and partner with Takapuna Boating Club to help bring our community together for Waitangi Day on the Shore — a full-day journey of reflection, storytelling and celebration.

You’re welcome to join one part of the day, or follow the full flow from dawn to afternoon:

6:00am – Dawn Blessing (Takapuna Boating Club)
Takapuna Boating Club, 39 The Strand, Takapuna Beach, Auckland 0622
Begin at first light with a dawn ceremony beside sculptures, grounded in kaupapa and community.

From 11:00am – Hīkoi Kōrero (Story Walk)
Join the hīkoi as we walk together with kōrero and storytelling along the way, heading towards the main celebration.

10:00am–5:00pm – Summer Vibes (Eventfinda Stadium)
Eventfinda Stadium, 17 Silverfield, Wairau Valley (Glenfield), Auckland
A free, whānau-friendly Waitangi Day celebration led by Awataha Marae with activities, community vibes and something for all ages.
