Marta is a self taught artist who discovered the world of illustration through a course by Simona Mulazzani in Sàrmede and a master in children illustration at the university of Padova (Italy) in 2011. Art has been her passion since childhood, even though she was a former French teacher with a formal education in that field. She likes to use pencils, coloured pencils, soft pastels, watercolor, charcoal, gouache and more recently oil painting to create her dreamy and quite realistic images. She thinks that art is a blessing for everybody, a powerful way to reconnect to our soul, to express what is meaningful for us, to observe reality at a deeper level, and also to fly away from the violence or meanness of society. Her favourite subjects are nature, women, children, literature and animals, especially cats.
