Explore the wonderful world of ceramics in this beginners/intermediate class. Beginners will learn hand building; create a slab vase, a coiled bowl, a pressed mould piece and a pinch pot sculpture. Glazing and decorating will also be taught to support you in making your own ceramic pieces. Intermediate students will be guided by the tutor.

Materials Required

Clay and glazes can be purchased from CCG Industries https://www.ccg.co.nz Beginners are encouraged to ask CCG for clay recommendations for specific hand building projects. Kiln firing is included in the price. A basic tool kit is required: needle, rubber kidney and a wire cutter and these can be purchased from Look Sharp to reduce costs.
