Emma Birch
Emma Birch is a West Auckland based artist who is heavily influenced by the natural world surrounding her home. Originally a painter and photographer, she has spent the last few years exploring her subjects using a range of printmaking techniques. Inspired by old naturalists etchings she attempts to illustrate both her subjects, giving them character and personality, using intaglio, direct printing and cyanotype from her original photographs. Until now she has only exhibited in West Auckland and as part of Printopia.
