This courses is for a mix of beginners and intermediate students. Beginners will be taught how to centre, throw, turn and glaze in the production of cylinders and bowl forms. Intermediate students will be encouraged to perfect the basic forms and throw larger or develop forms of their choosing with handles, lids and spouts.

Materials Required
We recommend purchasing clay, tool kits and glazes from CCG Industries https://www.ccg.co.nz/. Suggested throwing clay; Clay Works Cone 6 White Clay. Glazes can be discussed with the tutor. Tool kits should include a metal kidney, metal needle, large and small metal loop trimmer, wire cutter and a large sponge for cleaning the wheel. Kiln firing is included in the price.
