Leave The Light On brings Whiskey & Boots’ Storytelling-with-music practice to Auckland, a city built on the overlapping journeys of First Nations Māori, third and fourth generation locals, and new migrants from across the globe. Each carries an entirely different, fascinating relationship to home. Through headphone verbatim performance, live music, an audio installation and the anonymous
“Dear Home ” letters, real Aucklanders reflect on their own connection to HOME. The work changes with every person who shares in it, growing into a living portrait of home.
