SUSTAIN YOUR ART WITH GRAE BURTON
Monday 31 August | 9.00am–11.30am
Woodhouse/Tindall Rooms | Koha entry

Every artwork leaves an environmental footprint—but understanding that footprint can help us make more informed and sustainable creative choices.

Join artist and arts manager Grae Burton for a practical workshop exploring how to calculate the carbon footprint created through your art practice. Consider the materials, processes, energy use, transportation and waste involved in making your work, and identify realistic ways to reduce your environmental impact without compromising your creativity.

At 11.00am, we will travel to Zero Waste Wairau for an onsite induction. Once inducted, participants will receive ongoing access to reusable inorganic materials free of charge—opening new possibilities for sustainable, resourceful and affordable art-making.

Suitable for artists working at any stage and across all creative disciplines.
