In this fun painting course, you’ll explore acrylics and you’ll have the chance on some occasions to try different materials such as soft pastels, coloured crayons, black and white charcoal and oil pastels and also to combine them with acrylics, while learning exciting new art skills and techniques. We’ll experiment with colour mixing, have a look at the different composition schemes, and discover how light and dark tones can bring artwork to life. Students will paint a variety of subjects including food, flowers, special objects, dramatic skies, landscapes inspired by nature or city scenes. Starting with a simple colour palette, children will gradually add more colours as they build confidence and learn how colours work together to create beautiful paintings.
