Cynthia McKenzie has been drawing and painting for about 10 years, but when she discovered pastels after attending classes, she loved them. She is very enthusiastic about pastels — their freshness, colour range and compatibility with her style.
In New Zealand she is a member of the Depot, Estuary Arts and the Lake House arts. She has exhibited with these galleries, at the Royal Easter Show, Kumeu Art in the Garden, the Bruce Mason Centre, Fine Arts Academy (Wellington) The Original Art Sale, and the New Zealand Art Sale (Wellington), Lake House Arts and the annual exhibition of the Pastel Artists of New Zealand.
She is the Auckland rep for the NZ Pastel Art Society. Cynthia has many interests so pastel painting fills her leisure hours, but it is a passion and a pleasure.
