Due to the challenges of being an independent charity, UpsideDowns currently has 29 families on its waitlist, eager to access the support others have. We rely on the connections we build within our wider community to help us achieve our goals, and we are so pleased to announce our recent partnership with Lake House Arts in Takapuna. Lake House Arts is hosting a fundraising exhibition from 18 May – 12 June to raise funds for children with Down syndrome. We are so touched that Lake House Arts, itself a charitable organisation, has committed to supporting us in this way.
The UpsideDowns Education Trust is delighted to partner with
Lake House Arts in the upcoming fundraising exhibition, ARTiculate: A
picture is worth a thousand words. UpsideDowns was founded in 2004 by a
group of parents of children with Down syndrome who saw the need to support
other families in receiving life-changing speech language therapy. We help fund
this vital education for children with Down syndrome all over New Zealand. We
believe the gift of speech should be made available to all children with Down
syndrome. The results are incredible.
