This fun, liberating and experimental course explores the unbounded world of mixed media. Whether you work figuratively or abstractly, prefer landscapes to portraits, graphic design to classical drawing, collage to photography, this open, supported studio encourages all mediums and materials to merge, blend and collide.You can work from a personal photograph or found image, you determine the subject matter. Suitable for the novice through to the advanced practitioner, let curiosity and play be your guide.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: Suggested materials only; acrylic, acrylic ink, gouache, watercolor, acrylic pens, gel pens, sharpies, coloured pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels, charcoal, magazines for collage, found photographic imagery, fabric, paper, board, canvas, paint brushes of your choice.
MATERIALS REQUIRED: Selection of pencils: HB, B, 2B, 4B, 6B. Eraser. 2 - 3 portrait photographs of your choice (found photos or from your personal archive - preferably with objects/situated in a room or outside). Acrylic Ink (Paynes Grey and Sepia Tone). Soft tip watercolor brushes small/medium/large. Acrylic paint (selection of your choice - including primary colors). Small/ medium/ large round and square bristle brushes. Sketch pad (A3) for preliminary drawings. Watercolour paper pad for acrylic ink experimentation (A4) (between 230-300gsm). Watercolour paper (A2) for final 3 works (300 gsm if possible) * can buy individual sheets or a pad if more economical. Vivid pens or sharpies of your choice. Magazines or books you are willing to cut up (tutor will provide some found photographic imagery). Glue for sticking collage (modge podge, Golden soft gel medium or paper glue)
