Explore the wonderful world of ceramics in this beginner’s/intermediate class. Beginner’s will learn hand building; create a slab vase shape, a pressed mould piece and a pinch pot sculpture. Glazing and decorating will also be taught to support you in making your own ceramic pieces. Intermediate students will be independent but guided by the tutor.

Please note that pottery wheels for beginners or returning students will be unavailable for this class.

Materials Required

We recommend purchasing clay, glazes and tools from CCG Industries https://www.ccg.co.nz/. Beginners are recommended to purchase a White Stoneware clay and discuss glazes with the tutor. Kiln firing is included in the price.
